  This is a large shop. The staff is exceptionally welcoming. The pricing at Salvos is always good value. One of the best stores in Canberra.

  What a complete joke! I moved to the ACT and wanted to get rid of a valuable TV cabinet and a practically brand new modern desk due to limited space in my new house. My wife suggested we give the furniture to charity. I called "Vinnies" who said they'd want the goods. I am disabled after a stroke so that putting the furniture out front my garage for them to pick up was very difficult for me. Since these jokers gave me the wrong day, I had to put it out twice. Colleagues made jokes at work saying Vinnies wouldn't pick it up because nothing's good enough for them. When I got home yesterday, I found a note lying on the driveway saying: "Sorry. We can't use these items". They obviously don't know the difference between quality furniture and junk.
  
  Over the years, my wife and I have given them quality free clothing. I can assure you that I won't be wasting my time again with this mob ever again. Clothing now goes to the tip where it belongs!
